I am getting back into theatre after a very long haitus so I have hired a vocal coach to help me get back into singing. She seems really nice and knowledgable so I think our styles will mesh quite nicely. My homework for this week is to pick two songs to work on. So far I am thinking ‘Somwhere’ from West Side Story and ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ from Les Miserable. My coach though introduced me to a really good song called ‘I’m Still Hurting’ from Five Years Gone By which I seem to do okay at. I think she wants one of my songs though to be a pop song so they are different genres. I am not sure what to pick though. At first I was thinking ‘What About Love’ by Heart but while I can hit the notes I just don’t do the song justice. H suggested a song by Elton John so I am going to give it a go tomorrow.

Rehearsal for ‘Gypsy’ starts tomorrow which both S and I are in although we just have very small non-singing non-speaking roles since this will be S’s first play and he is only 7 so I want to make sure theatre is really something he wants to do before committing to something larger.

My D is in her first year of Air Cadets and I volunteer doing administrative type duties. I am hoping to apply to become a Cadet Instructor once I have volunteered enough hours and then eventually become an Administrative Officer. There is some monetary renumeration for the work but I would then have to start wearing a uniform again and polishing boots. Eeek!

It can take up to a year for the entire application process. Now, I just have to hope I can pass the medical. 🙂

I seriously need someone in my life who has a hard time starting things but loves to finish them because I am the opposite. I start lots and lots of projects and stories and art projects and hobbies but I never seem to be able to finish them. It’s actually kind of depressing because you never get that feeling of accomplishment when you complete something. Hmmm…maybe that is why I tend to return to rpgs the most because there is no end to them.

I finally found some time and energy to overhaul my web site. Of course I had to find the time at 4:00 am…lol… but it will be worth it. Or so I told H as he urged me several times to get some sleep. 

I also found some time to get back into creating some artist trading cards which has been on hold since 2005… seriously, since 2005. Anyway,  I am planning to create a small stockpile of them before I get into trading but it will take some time for that. There is that nasty T word again… time. Maybe by 2012 I will be ready…lol. In the meantime here is the very first card I created in December 2005.

I’ve finally gotten back into some rpg’s on yahoogroups. It has been a long time since I lost interest for a long time. I’m part of two Angel ones, a Pirates of the Caribbean one, an X-Men one and I started one based on Lost (can’t wait for season premiere).

Speaking (or rather writing) about premieres, I watched the series premiere for Heroes last night. What a freakin’ awesome show! So far, my fave is Hiro who is hilarious and makes all these wonderful pop culture references. If you haven’t seen it yet, you must.

Friday I am off to get an untrasound as there is something wrong with my ribs on my right side. Well, the tissue over them which is why it is an ultrasound and not an xray.

I figured out the final item for my motivational package. Thank you cards with a motivational message on the back. Now all I have to do is print them off and I can start sending them out. This pleases Me.

Keanu Reeves is ‘hot’. Just thought I would throw that in there.

I am part of this internet group that performs random acts of kindness for each other (mostly mailing things people like). I enjoy sending things but some of the people on the list drive me nuts. All they do is complain about how terrible things are for them and how sick they are. Okay, I do have sympathy for illness but for god’s sake people try putting something positive in there! For every complaint add two good things. And I don’t really want to hear from someone I don’t know how their rectum is swollen along with their colon and they had to have an enima and doped themselves up for back pain.

Crikey!!!

On a positive note, my motivational package is almost complete. It is all homemade stuff (so ya, not top quality, but it is from the heart) including magnets, postcards, a bookmark, and labels that all have motivational quotes. I just want to come up with one or two more items before sending a bunch out.

Positive comment #2: My feet don’t smell (which they don’t usually).

I am so excited! My friend and I are going to Ottawa and Montreal during our vacation in October. I love architecture and famous landmarks. We want to walk the cobblestone streets. Ya, strange desire, but hey that’s us. I got a new 8.0 megapixel SLR camera and hope to take some great pics!!!

I have started writing some fanfiction but will be posting it at fanfiction.net rather than on my web site. My first one is dedicated to Owen and is a Smallville fanfic entitled “Emissary”.
